WHAT IS THE ROLE OF A MENTEE?
A mentee is an individual who receives advice, assistance and feedback from a more experienced person over a set period of time, resulting in the enhancement of the mentee’s educational and professional endeavors. The mentee must have clear goals and be willing to accept guidance and advice in order for the relationship to be successful. A mentee is open to constructive feedback and has a desire to learn and develop new skills to progress in their graduate education.

Ben Touhill
Business Administration
Hello, my name is Ben Touhill, and I am currently a student at Raritan Valley Community College. I am majoring in Business Administration and plan on transferring to a four-year university once I have received my associate degree. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I hope to work in some sort of financial firm or front office position for a professional sports team. I enjoy spending my time staying active through basketball and golf. I especially enjoy playing golf because ti teaches you patience and how to stay focused. I also have a passion for music. I have been playing guitar and piano since the age of thirteen. Overall, I love music and all things sports, hence the reason I would love to work in sports.
I hope that the Sanofi Corporate Mentor Program will help me develop the necessary job and leadership skills I will need in order to be successful once I have graduated from college. I look forward to working with a mentor who has my best interest at heart and cares about my success just as much as I do.

DANNA CORDERO
Biological Science
Hi, my name is Danna Cordero and I am currently a Biological Science major at Raritan Valley Community College. I plan on graduating in Spring of 2027 and transferring to Rutgers University to continue my education. My long-term goal is to become an Anesthesiologist Assistant because I have an interest in science, healthcare, and helping others in meaningful ways. I am also interested in learning more about patient care, communication, and the overall healthcare field through real-world experiences and mentorship. I am very open to exploring new ideas, perspectives, and career paths that can help me continue growing both personally and professionally.
Outside of school, I work as a receptionist at my uncle’s mechanic shop, which has helped me develop communication, organization, and customer service skills. I am also very interested in cars. Another hobby of mine is strength training and going to the gym, because I enjoy pushing myself to grow both mentally and physically.
By participating in the Sanofi Corporate Mentor Program, I hope to continue building my confidence, professionalism, communication, and leadership skills while learning from experienced mentors. I look forward to gaining guidance that will help me grow academically, personally, and professionally as I prepare for my future career. EDWARD ZUNIGA
Business Administration
Hi, my name is Edward Zuniga, and I am a student at Raritan Valley Community College majoring in Business Administration. After completing my associate degree, I plan to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a degree in Economics. I am particularly interested in studying collective behavior and the development of financial systems within our society.
Coming from a low-income, immigrant background has given me a firsthand understanding of the importance of supporting disadvantaged communities. My research in the AP Capstone program focused on the intersection of financial stability and emotional well-being; and now I look forward to expanding this research within the Honors College Capstone, specifically exploring how these factors impact social mobility.
To complement my academic interests with leadership and community engagement, I serve as the Vice President of Finance for the Student Government Association and will be an officer for the Business Club in the coming semester. Additionally, I intern with the Grants Management team at the International Rescue Committee, where I am learning how humanitarian missions integrate complex administrative operations. I also volunteer my time investigating store logistics for Habitat for Humanity.
I am passionate about economics because it is an interdisciplinary science that interconnects every aspect of life. I find joy in discovering how seemingly unrelated activities share common threads. For instance, I used to compete in Marinera dance in Peru; when I took up figure skating in the U.S., I was fascinated to find that it required the same artistry and core movements as the traditional dance of my home country.
I am thrilled to participate in the Sanofi Corporate Mentor Program because I believe one-on-one mentorship will help me identify and refine my professional growth areas. While I once thought research was a solitary pursuit, I now recognize that leadership and collaboration are essential to making an impact. Having the guidance of a professional at Sanofi will be invaluable as I develop the skills necessary for a corporate environment. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and look forward to using this final year at RVCC to reshape and reinforce my future aspirations.

ETHAN CAREY
Biology
Hi, my name is Ethan Carey, and I am currently a student-athlete at Raritan Valley Community College. I am majoring in Biology and plan on transferring to a four-year university after receiving my associate's degree. After graduating with my bachelor's, I strive to continue my education by attending DPT school to become a physical therapist, and later to one day specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation or sports physical therapy. Some of my hobbies include listening to music, playing baseball, reading, working out, cooking, playing video games, and fishing. I especially enjoy cooking pasta dishes and making a variety of salads. I also have a deep passion for music. Lately I've been really into the 70s era, and my favorite artists are Steely Dan and Mac DeMarco. I look forward to having the Sanofi Mentor Program guide me as I build the leadership skills, grit, and passion I need to be successful in the workforce. I hope to work with a mentor who has my best interests at heart and will challenge me to grow as I navigate my final year at Raritan. Most importantly, I cannot wait to connect with someone who will be just as excited to help me refine my goals for the future. I am very thankful and this is truly a blessing of an opportunity.

FIORELLA PIEDRA

Hi! My name is Fiorella Piedra, I am currently an honors college student and Business Administration major at Raritan Valley Community College. Once I receive my associate degree, I plan to transfer to a four-year university to continue pursuing my education and further explore different areas within the corporate world, particularly global business and supply chain. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I hope to build a successful career in the business industry and eventually grow into a leadership position where I can combine strategy, logistics and problem-solving while also having opportunities to travel and connect with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
When I am not focused on academics, one of my favorite ways to unwind is being in or around water, whether that is swimming, paddle boarding, or going to the beach. Being around water has always felt like a connection to my roots and some of my favorite memories growing up in Costa Rica. Recently, I have also discovered, through my job with kids at the YMCA, that I really enjoy doing crafts such as drawing, coloring, making bracelets or painting.
Through the Sanofi Corporate Mentorship Program, I hope to learn from experienced professionals. As a first-generation immigrant student receiving guidance, especially from people who are in positions I aspire to be in one day, is truly valuable. I’m looking forward to expanding my network, and gaining insight into the corporate environment. I am excited for the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while developing skills that will help me achieve my long-term goals.

Hello. My name is Geon Choi, and I am currently a student at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC). I have a deep interest in the fields of health, fitness, and helping to improve people's lives. Moving forward, I aspire to continue my learning journey, cultivate expertise in my major, and become someone who can make a positive impact on others.
I place great value on the process of learning new things and personal growth. In particular, I have a strong interest in self-management, health, fitness, and interpersonal communication. I also enjoy music and playing the guitar, and I am passionate about using creative activities to share positive energy and provide comfort to others.
My goal extends beyond simply securing a good job; I aim to grow into an individual who embodies both responsibility and leadership. I believe that a mentorship program serves as an excellent opportunity to gain insights into the real world and professional environments, acquire advice from experienced mentors, and broaden my perspective.

MICHAEL SOMMERS
Civil Engineering
Hello, my name is Michael Sommers, and I am currently enrolled in my second year as a Civil Engineering major at RVCC. Next year I hope to transfer to a university where I can earn a bachelor's degree. After attaining my bachelor's, I hope to work for an Architectural Engineering Construction company where I can be a construction project manager or be in the structural or sight design process. One of my long-term goals is to help improve the construction industry by focusing on improving standards, sustainability, and economic efficiency.
I am interested in a lot of things, but mostly in the health of people and the planet. I have two personal training certifications with a company called Functional Patterns. The main focus with this type of training is to get out of pain/ discomfort, improve posture, gait, and throwing patterns. Since they are the main functions, the human body has evolved for, improving in those areas improves everything else. It's proven to be very beneficial with the martial arts I practice like wrestling, jiu jitsu, boxing, and more. I also like to play guitar, learn and listen to different types of music, go hiking or go to the beach, travel, and meet new people. More recently I've also gotten into gardening, fishing, and soon I'd like to learn how to hunt.
I hope the Sanofi Corporate Mentorship Program will help me make a more seamless transition from college to the corporate world. In a mentor, I am looking for honest communication, accountability, and someone that can help me achieve some of my goals. I look forward to meeting all the mentors and mentees, and gaining from this experience.

Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies
Hello, my name is Natalie Jimenez-Garcia, and I am a current student at Raritan Valley Community College. I am majoring in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies. I plan on transferring to a four-year university once I receive my associates degree. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I hope to have been accepted into law school to pursue my future career as an attorney. I’ve always been fascinated with anything law related especially because I have always watched crime shows and documentaries. I also am pursuing a career in law due to personal reasons and wanting to help others who may be in a similar situation as I was before.
My hobbies include anything beauty related, binge-watching tv shows or movie series. I enjoy doing my own nails, whether it’s a simple manicure or nail extensions. I also do enjoy spending time with family and friends. I feel most at peace with I am surrounded by people who I love and cherish. I hope that the Sanofi Corporate Mentor Program will provide me with an opportunity to grow into a strong confident career woman. I am most excited to be working alongside a mentor who will guide and provide the skills that are needed as I establish my future career. It will be touching to have a program such as this in my life as I finished my last year at RVCC and hope to make amazing memories that I will cherish forever. Hi, my name is Owen Pierro, and I am currently a student at Raritan Valley Community College majoring in Biological Sciences. After earning my associate degree, I plan to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology. Following my undergraduate studies, I hope to begin my career working in a research and development lab, where I can contribute to the creation and improvement of scientific products. Eventually, I aspire to earn an MBA and transition into a leadership role, managing research and development teams and helping guide innovative products from the lab to real-world application.
My hobbies include health, fitness, and spending time outdoors. I enjoy going to the gym, biking, playing tennis, and swimming because they help me stay active and motivated. In high school, I was a member of both the swim team and tennis team, which helped me develop discipline and teamwork. I also enjoy cooking, camping, kayaking, and fishing. In addition, I love traveling, exploring new places, and trying different cuisines.
I hope the Sanofi Corporate Mentor Program will give me more insight into possible career paths and directions I can take after earning my associate degree. I am looking forward to learning from a mentor who can provide honest advice, guidance, and support as I continue planning my future. I am a first-generation college student majoring in Business Administration at Raritan Valley Community College, with an interest in management. My academic journey began in Literature, which provided a strong analytical foundation that I now bring to the business world. As the eldest daughter, I have naturally developed a deep sense of responsibility that drives my ambition and work ethic. Upon earning my associate degree in Spring 2027, I plan to work full-time to gain hands-on professional experience before transferring to a four-year university to complete my bachelor's degree.
As an Algerian immigrant and former ESL student, I am deeply passionate about supporting others as they navigate their own paths. This is reflected in my role as a Peer Mentor at RVCC’s Advising and Transfer Services, where I help incoming students familiarize themselves with campus resources. I am also proud to be a member of the Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Beta Gamma international honor societies, as well as a scholar in the 2026 Princeton TSI cohort. I am a polyglot fluent in Amazigh, French, and Arabic, with background experience in library assistance and tutoring.
Outside of my professional life, I am an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, walking, and photography; capturing everything from my travels to simple everyday moments. I am also passionate about baking and pottery, skills I practice to stay connected to my Amazigh heritage. Additionally, I make an effort to volunteer with campus resources from time to time. These creative and community-focused outlets allow me to stay inspired and maintain a balanced perspective.

Hello, my name is Veronica Kulek. I am a student at Raritan Valley Community College pursuing a degree in Business Administration. After I receive my associate’s degree I plan to transfer to a four-year university to complete my bachelor’s. I currently work full time at a local restaurant while studying at RVCC. My biggest goal is to find a career that allows me to grow professionally, gain financial stability, and have a positive impact on my community.
In my free time I enjoy playing bass guitar, music has always been an important part of my life. I like playing other instruments too and learning music theory. Some other hobbies of mine are spending time outdoors in nature and playing video games. I greatly appreciate being a part of the Sanofi Corporate Mentorship Program. Having someone to reach out to for guidance and support while I finish my degree at RVCC and prepare for the future means a great deal to me. WOOHYEONG SON

Hi, my name is Woohyeong Son, and I am currently a student at Raritan Valley Community College majoring in Business Administration. After earning my associate degree, I plan to transfer to a four-year university such as Rutgers University, the University of Florida, or Indiana University to study Business Analytics. My career goal is to work in business analytics for a professional soccer team or within the sports industry. Since I was young, soccer has always been a huge part of my life, and I realized that working in a field connected to soccer would allow me to truly enjoy my career. Even when work becomes difficult, I believe I would still be motivated because it is related to something I genuinely love and care about.
My hobbies include playing soccer and spending time with my friends playing together. One activity that is especially meaningful to me is serving at nursing homes through my church every third week of the month. I enjoy helping and spending time with others because it reminds me of the importance of community and kindness. Through both soccer and volunteer work, I have learned the value of teamwork, responsibility, and communication.
I would describe myself as someone who can be impatient at times, but I always try to remain calm and think carefully before making decisions. One of the biggest values that motivates me is my family. I strongly believe that if I become successful, I will be able to give my family a happier and more stable life. I also believe that when I commit myself to something, I give it my full effort until the very end. Because of that mindset, I want to become an important figure in the sports industry through business analytics.
Currently, one of my goals is to achieve great success with the RVCC soccer team while also maintaining a 4.0 GPA until graduation. I truly enjoy learning, and I am the type of person who listens carefully to people who can teach me things I do not know. I always try to learn as much as possible from others and improve myself every day.
I applied for the Sanofi Corporate Mentor Program because I want to challenge myself in a bigger environment and grow into a better and more successful person. I hope to meet a great mentor who can change my perspective, teach me more about careers and life, and help me grow both personally and professionally. I am genuinely excited to see what kind of people I will meet through this program and how much I will develop from this experience.
